Weepy, our Winnebago View
Weepy is our 2017 Winnebago View 24J. We ordered her in October of 2016 and picked her up the following February.
Everybody asks, so let's get right to it.
I'm afraid it's a pretty stupid story…
……that comes from the day we picked her up fresh from Lichtsinn RV, the dealership in Forest City, Iowa. They have a wonderful orientation and we spent the entire morning with Ben, one of their technicians. He was showing us the storage compartments and other things around the outside of the RV, came to vents for the fridge and told us that we might sometimes see a little weeping from a drain tube and that was normal. Then he opened up the compartment to the water heater and said weeping from the overflow was normal. Then he showed us the gravity fill for the water tank. You guessed it, weeping was normal. By then it was a done deal. We were both giggling, and the whole drive home we kept calling her Weepy, never dreaming it would stick.
It stuck.

So……we good here?
So did we make the right choice in buying Weepy? Absolutely! We love this little RV. When we first started shopping we thought we wanted a Class B van, but they turned out to be just a little too small. We wanted separate places to sleep if we needed, Check wanted a dry bath, and right there that eliminated a lot of the van RVs. Add to that most are only 6'3" on the inside, and at 6'1", Check felt a little claustrophobic. By moving up to this, which is one of the smallest Class C's, we got all we wanted, plus a ton of outside storage that isn't an option at all with the vans. It's still small and nimble enough to take into town, park in most parking lots and fit under most bridges. We love the modern, more European look of the cabinets inside and the J layout really works for us.
We bought Weepy from Lichtsinn RV and I can't say enough good things about them. Since we knew nothing about RVs, we wanted to buy from a dealership who knew their RVs and would be there to support us when needed. Winnebagos (at least this size) are made in Forest City, Iowa, and Lichtsinn RV is right there in town. Most of their employees have worked at Winnegabo and they know their products inside and out. They have fantastic videos of all their RVs, a terrific orientation and great service after the sale. After two years, we still call our service rep and he's always knowledgeable and happy to help us out.
